Known for its traditional worship services and programs, First Presbyterian Church has served the Howard Lake area for more than 136 years. Its dynamic congregation and leadership continue the tradition of compassion and excellence in Christian Ministry today.
Since its founding in 1879, First Presbyterian's mission has focused on being a servant church -- making a positive impact within its community and throughout the world.

Welcome to First Presbyterian Church! The worship of God is at the heart of our life together at First Presbyterian Church. Our services include people of all ages. Prayer, scripture, singing, and a sermon are woven together to create a meaningful worship service.
The people in our church assist in worship. They may usher, lead singing or liturgy, or participate in sharing their praise of God through sharing a story, prayer, or life experience.
We celebrate the sacrament of Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month. We alternate between coming to the communion table and sharing the bread and cup in the pews.
We'd love for you to join us on a Sunday morning. We meet at 9:30 am each week at the corner of 8th Avenue & 9th Street in Howard Lake. We offer a supervised program for children who are 2-5 years old called Tiny Tot Church and Sunday School Programming for children in grades 1-6 during worship. Join us for coffee, snacks, and conversation in the fellowship area following the worship service.
